Over the years, dancers have asked us what is the best thing they can do to improve their dancing and it really is to learn how to dance your partner’s role.

We all probably have had a go at swapping roles at a party night for a laugh but this will be concentrated on learning the other role specifically to improve your dancing.

Ladies when dancing the lead you can appreciate how important it is for your follower to follow and not lead – it is almost impossible to have a good dance whilst wrestling over the lead.

Men when following you can appreciate how important it is to receive a good lead from your partner instead of guessing where you are meant to be going. Go on sign up, it’s going to be serious fun!

Free workshop but please sign up for gender balancing (excuse the pun!) You just pay if you wish to stay onto the main classes afterwards. Sign up on any jive night, email us or comment below.

Matt Kavanagh & Sarah Price Guest Teaching in Trowbridge

We recently had Matt & Sarah teach in Trowbridge and our dancers had such a fabulous night we had to rebook them straight away for more guest teaching spots in Burghfield & Trowbridge. As well as teaching an excellent lesson I don’t think either of them managed to get off the floor all night even for a drink!

Matt & Sarah will be guest teaching our intermediate class at 9pm and for our newer dancers we have a beginners lesson with Kerrin & Mel at 8pm and a review beginners class at 9pm.

Admission £7 on the door.

You asked - we booked!! After a fabulous debut teaching night at Burghfield you all wanted to know when Kevin & Aggie would be back, so we managed to grab a free night out of their busy schedule and have booked them for another guest Intermediate Class on Wednesday 26th June 2013.

Kerrins 20th Jive Anniversary Freestyle

Come and join us as we celebrate Kerrin’s 20 year jive anniversary on Saturday 10th August at the Burghfield CSA Club near Reading.

Kerrin started dancing at Phil Reece’s jive night at the Southampton Park Hotel and was soon teaching with his first class at Salisbury City Hall. Never did he think that 20 years on he would still be teaching modern jive!

Kerrin is best known for his Double Trouble dancing and has won the UK Title 4 Times alongside Luci & Jackie and he likes his double trouble music the faster the better - much to the amusement of his double partners (was the Zoot Suit Riot tune really necessary!!).

Free reception drinks from 8pm and complimentary late night tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cakes.
